Titanium Dioxide is a widely used white pigment colorant and in omnipresent wherever we see – our wall paints, our footwear soles, our notebook paper, our white good appliances at home, white ceramic tiles and faucets, our toothpaste, our sunscreen and many more products we use in our daily lives.
It is used to impart white colour to the products , provide opacity and provide UV stability. It is a non-toxic, non-reactive naturally occurring product extracted from beach sand.
Titanium Dioxide comes in 2 forms :
1. Rutile Grade
2. Anatase Grade

Rutile grade Titanium Dioxide has better absorbance property than Anatese and hence mostly used for outdoor applications like outdoor paints, sunscreens and other application.
