Optical Brighteners are fluorescent brightening agents that absorbs UV light and re-emits this energy in the visible range as blue violet light, thereby producing a whitening effect in polymers.

A good whitening agent for PVC, PS, PE, PP, ABS, SAN, CA, PAPMMA, acrylic resin, thermoplastic resin, acetate fiber, paint, coatings and printing inks.
Mainly used in whitening of polyester and plastic materials such as PVC, ABS, EVA,PS . It is also widely used in various polymer substance , especially polyester fibre, PP fibre as well as whitening of nylon during polymerization.
